Question 1

Is HostEasy a PMS, a property management company, or a VA service?

Accepted Answer

HostEasy is a new category. It's a unified operations platform and a human team. You get all the software you need in one place plus a dedicated ops team doing the work for you—without paying 20–30% commissions like a traditional property management company.

Question 2

Do I need to keep my current PMS or pricing tool?

Accepted Answer

No. HostEasy replaces your PMS and your dynamic pricing tool. We act as your central operating system and are partnered with PriceLabs, so you get all the pricing capabilities (and more) inside HostEasy. Most customers cancel their existing PMS, pricing tool and several other subscriptions once they switch.

Question 3

What is an operations pod?

Accepted Answer

Your operations pod is a team of 3 highly trained operations specialists, working 24/7 on your portfolio, plus a dedicated account manager. Think of it as your own operations department—4 people plus Alfred (our AI)—without having to hire anyone.

Question 4

How is this different from hiring a VA?

Accepted Answer

With a Virtual Assistant, you have to source, interview, train, manage, and replace people, and they still log into multiple apps to do the work. With HostEasy, you skip all of that. You get a ready-made operations pod + AI, on clear Service Level Agreements (SLA), inside one platform. No recruiting, no training, no HR, and no juggling tools as you scale.

Question 5

How is your service this economical?

Accepted Answer

Traditional management relies almost entirely on humans. A team of 4 can realistically handle 30± listings before things start breaking. With HostEasy, Alfred handles the bulk of repetitive work, and the human team supervises, handles edge cases and crises. The same 4-person pod can manage up to 120± listings, which lets us charge far less than %-based management while giving you both human care and AI precision.

Question 6

What happens if there's an emergency?

Accepted Answer

Alfred continuously monitors for risk and has >97% accuracy in detecting crisis situations. When it flags an issue, your operations pod jumps in immediately, coordinating guests, cleaners, vendors and platforms. We only contact you based on your preference: every time, or only when a key decision truly needs your input.

Question 7

How accurate is your AI and how is it different from other AI tools?

Accepted Answer

Alfred runs at >97% accuracy in crisis detection and >92% accuracy in guest communication. Because HostEasy unifies guests, cleaners, vendors, hosts and our team into one platform, Alfred always has the full, real-time picture before responding—rather than guessing or sending generic quick replies like most AI tools. It's trained to think like a top property manager and respond in a calm, de-escalating, highly hospitable way.

Question 8

Can I train Alfred with my own preferences?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You can talk to Alfred like you would to a VA—via message or call. Tell it how you like things done, what you never want to allow, and the tone you prefer. Alfred learns from those conversations, never forgets, and never sleeps.

Question 9

How much does onboarding cost and how long does it take?

Accepted Answer

Onboarding is white-glove and included. Our automated process means most portfolios are fully set up in about one hour from the time we start—no long implementation projects, no homework for you.
